Sachin Patel
Chief Executive Officer
Sachin brings broad experience across both healthcare and technology, spanning a variety of leadership roles, including operations, finance, and development. Sachin joined Apixio in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer and later served as President and Chief Financial Officer before taking his current role. Sachin has extensive experience working with value-based care provider groups including Vantage Oncology, a national leader in community oncology, where he served as Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer of Vantage Cancer Care Network, an innovative model for managing cancer populations. Sachin has also held positions with Citigroup Investment Banking and began his career in engineering roles with Cisco and IBM. Sachin holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Tom Magnotta
President & Chief Operating Officer
Tom is a results-oriented, versatile, and hands-on executive whose nearly 25-year career has been shaped by his drive to lead transformative change, growth, and innovation within the health tech space. He has a proven track record of success in leading business growth, expanding enterprise value, and navigating companies through PE, M&A, and IPO activities. Tom most recently served as ClaimLogiq’s CEO to position the company for growth and scale and successfully steered the company to its merger with Apixio. Prior to ClaimLogiq, Tom managed DataLink Software’s core business operations as COO following an impactful tenure at HMS. Tom’s previous positions with WellCare Health Plans, Cotiviti, Health Net and his provider experience allowed him to experience various points of care. His unique perspective of the system is valuable as he leads efforts to solve challenges within the healthcare technology space. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Springfield College and an MPA in Health Policy and Financial Management from New York University.

Diana Trieu
Vice President, Chief of Staff
Diana is a well-rounded business professional with extensive experience in strategic thinking, managing financial analyses, executing operation plans, and building infrastructure processes to bridge operational gaps. Prior to joining Apixio, Diana led multiple functional teams in improving communication and operating cohesiveness between departments at McKesson. During her tenure at DaVita Healthcare Partners, Diana oversaw strategy, operations, and finance teams. As Finance Director at Apex Group, she led the team responsible for G&A planning, monthly P&L management, and budgeting. In her role as the International Director of Strategy and Operations, she successfully spearheaded business development, supported seamless operations, and orchestrated a robust acquisition strategy – enabling the company to effectively operate and expand its business operations across multiple countries worldwide. Diana’s multifaceted expertise in finance, clinical improvement, capital management, and operations brings invaluable knowledge to Apixio. Diana holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from the University of Southern California.

Sam Diederich
Chief Product Officer
Sam has more than a decade of strategic management experience within the healthcare industry across a variety of leadership roles, including corporate strategy, product, and growth. Prior to joining Apixio, Sam was the Senior Vice President at Optum, where he led large-scale businesses driving strategy, sustainable growth, product innovation, and industry differentiating partnerships. Sam has dedicated his career to improving the quality of care delivered to members, increasing healthcare affordability, and reducing costs for payers and providers. Using a collaborative and solution-oriented approach, Sam excels at developing new business models to solve meaningful challenges throughout the healthcare ecosystem. Prior to Optum, Sam has held roles at technology start-up TierMed Systems and at IBM. Sam holds degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas’ Opus College of Business in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Brian Moore
Chief Financial Officer
Brian has over 18 years of experience leading various levels of finance teams inside high-growth companies or as an advisor to larger organizations. As the CFO of Apixio, Brian is responsible for all accounting and finance-related matters throughout the organization. In his prior role as CFO for ClaimLogiq, Brian was tasked with integrating the back-office operations of three acquired companies and played a large role in the company’s 2023 merger with Apixio. He previously served as CFO of CertaSite, a private equity-owned company whose key growth strategy was through multiple acquisitions per year, and held senior executive leadership positions at Equian and Deloitte. In preceding roles throughout his career, Brian has been involved in numerous acquisitions, led exponential growth in revenue/EBITDA, scaled finance/accounting and back-office operations, and managed various finance and acquisition-focused teams. Brian attended Indiana University, where he earned both his BS in Accounting and MBA in Accounting and Finance through the Kelley School of Business.

Joe is a results-oriented executive with 20+ years of executive sales and leadership experience driving customer value, revenue growth, and a winning sales culture across several healthcare technology and data solution organizations. Prior to joining Apixio, he served as the Chief Growth Officer at Verisys, a leader in provider data management, where he developed and executed direct and indirect strategies, ensuring the company’s growth and innovation in the marketplace. Before that, Joe held various sales leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Payment Integrity Sales at Optum, following its acquisitions of Equian and OmniClaim DRG, as well as at Verscend (formerly Verisk Health), now part of Cotiviti. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross.

Chief Marketing Officer
Mark has nearly two decades of healthcare marketing and communications experience, excelling in building brands and achieving outcomes. His accomplishments include launching global brands for multibillion-dollar public companies like CareFusion and Alere. He also played a pivotal role in transforming Prescryptive Health and its brand into a recognized thought and industry leader. At Masimo, he launched the Patient Safety Movement, bringing national attention to patient safety and garnering keynote speakers, including President Bill Clinton. He possesses a diverse range of expertise, including product marketing, brand development, packaging and labeling, public relations, content marketing, website development, and crisis communications. His thought leadership has been recognized through publications in Dataconomy, Healthcare Risk Management Review, and the Harvard Business Review. Mark holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Executive Vice President, Risk Adjustment & Health Data Management
Meg is a seasoned healthcare professional committed to improving quality of care. She is a strategic thinker whose pragmatic and customer-centered approach has been cultivated from 25 years of experience with technology startups, service companies, and government agencies. Most recently Meg was COO at HealthLoop, Inc., where she spent four years building a team and a company and creating a new market of patient engagement solutions for healthcare. Previously Meg was VP of Business Operations at Epocrates, where she was a key member of the team that developed and launched the Epocrates EHR. Meg also held the role of VP of Client Services during a period of high company growth and profitability that culminated in the Epocrates IPO. Prior to Epocrates, Meg was a strategy consultant with Accenture’s Health Services Group and a Medicaid policy analyst with the Health Care Financing Administration (now the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). Meg attended Stanford where she earned her BA, and later her MBA from Stanford’s prestigious Graduate Business School.

Brad’s professional focus has always been on growth and innovation. With more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare and defense industries, Brad is a champion for fostering inclusive, high-performing teams and creating mutually valuable relationships to scale as a market leader. With extensive payment integrity expertise, Brad is responsible for developing a growth strategy for the business line and supporting implementation efforts. He previously held leadership positions with HMS Payment Integrity and Gainwell Technologies, where he shared responsibility for driving significant organic revenue growth within three years, resulting in HMS’s sale to Gainwell Technologies. Brad holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University.

Lou has over 25 years of experience in executive sales and management roles focusing on healthcare technology and the medical supply industry. Prior to joining Apixio in 2014, Lou excelled in sales and leadership roles for Optum, Peak Health, Byram Healthcare, and Apria Healthcare. Under Lou’s guidance and leadership at Apixio, the company has continued to add many of the most recognized healthcare brands to its customer base each year. He holds a BA from the School of Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Alex Aitken
Senior Vice President, Engineering
Alex has been with Apixio from almost the very beginning of the company. He has successfully led a variety of departments within the company, including DevOps, Corporate IT, Compliance, and Data Integrations. Prior to joining Apixio, Alex was the Director of IT at TSPi, where he led the development and migration of EHR systems to the TSPi cloud. At Topcon Healthcare, Alex was the EyeRoute Technical Supervisor managing the rollout and training of an ophthalmology image management suite at numerous hospital and provider groups. With over 15 years of experience in Healthcare IT, Alex has made it his mission to improve how healthcare data is accessed so patients can get the best care possible. Alex holds degrees in Information Technology and Exercise Science from Griffith University in Australia.

Scott has over 30 years of healthcare experience in leadership and client-facing roles, working with and for a wide array of organizations, including health plans, vendors, providers, and government programs. He has a passion for serving customers and developing long-lasting partnerships that nurture growth and a culture of excellence. Throughout his career, he has been able to navigate the complexity of the healthcare industry while delivering creative and innovative solutions. Prior to joining Apixio, Scott led HMS/Gainwell’s Commercial Client Engagement organization and held leadership positions with Cotiviti and Health Plan Services. Scott holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University and Accounting / Finance degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point

Seth Gondek
General Counsel
Seth is an experienced General Counsel with a track record of balancing company and business interests to generate profitable win-win solutions for legal departments and business units. Prior to joining Apixio, Seth successfully developed and implemented legal processes at 3D Robotics to drive company prosperity and revenue growth. While in this role, Seth led a cross-functional team that developed a global trademark strategy and ensured international product compliance. He provided expert counsel to the company’s C-Suite, distilling complex challenges into simple, actionable solutions that were easily comprehensible and resulted in business success. With 16+ years of experience, Seth has developed specialties in SAAS technology agreements, privacy law and regulations, and more. Seth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a JD of Intellectual Property from Golden Gate University, School of Law.
