McNamara Tapped to Lead Commercial Organization as Demand Increases for Apixio’s Artificial Intelligence Solutions
SAN MATEO, Calif., July 22, 2019 — Apixio Inc., the AI healthcare analytics company, today announced it has promoted Tom McNamara to the role of Chief Growth Officer. In this new role, McNamara will lead the integration and expansion of Apixio’s commercial organization including sales, account management, sales operations, and marketing to position the company for its next phase of accelerated growth.
The move comes amid growing demand for Apixio’s healthcare solutions, which leverage artificial intelligence to transform disparate data into actionable knowledge. Over the last three years, Apixio has substantially grown its nationwide customer base, expected to reach fifty health plans and provider groups by the end of 2019. The company’s sales and marketing team has doubled to meet increasing demand. In McNamara’s new role, he will closely partner with Apixio’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mark Scott, and his team to bring more sophisticated products to market quickly. Under this new direction, Scott’s role will expand to include leadership of the company’s product marketing strategy.

Previously, he served as head of sales for GNS Healthcare, Connance, Silverlink Communications, and HPR, where he helped lead a successful IPO and acquisition.
