Darren Schulte, MD, has over eleven years of industry experience in healthcare analytics and technology. Darren served as the Chief Medical Officer and President of Apixio prior to being appointed CEO in 2014. Before joining Apixio, Darren served in executive leadership roles at Alere, Anvita Health, and Resolution Health. Darren co-developed 25 clinical measures endorsed by the National Quality Forum to assess ambulatory care quality measurement using electronic data. Darren is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of healthcare analytics and quality improvement. Darren received his BS degree from Berkeley, MPP degree from Harvard, and MD from Stanford. He trained in Internal Medicine at UCSF, and is co-author of one US patent.
Meg is a seasoned healthcare professional committed to improving quality of care. She is a strategic thinker whose pragmatic and customer-centered approach has been cultivated from 25 years of experience with technology startups, service companies, and government agencies. Most recently Meg was COO at HealthLoop, Inc, where she spent 4 years building a team and a company, and creating a new market of patient engagement solutions for healthcare. Previously Meg was VP of Business Operations at Epocrates, where she was a key member of the team that developed and launched the Epocrates EHR. Meg also held the role of VP of Client Services during a period of high company growth and profitability that culminated in the Epocrates IPO. Previous to Epocrates, Meg was a strategy consultant with Accenture’s Health Services Group and a Medicaid policy analyst with the Health Care Financing Administration (now the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services).
Tom has 25 years of experience building successful sales organizations for healthcare technology and analytics companies. Prior to joining Apixio, Tom served as head of sales for GNS Healthcare, High Roads, Connance, and Silverlink Communications. He also led sales at HPR, a medical payments company, up to and through a successful IPO. Tom is a result-oriented executive who excels at motivating field teams, providing solutions to client requirements, and clearly positioning the value of technology services. He holds a BS from the University of Vermont, and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School.
John Schneider brings to Apixio over 25 years of software technology and product development experience, with special skills in cross-functional management across research, product and engineering. Most recently John was the General Manager of the Adaptive Learning Products and the Chief Product Architect at Apollo Group. Prior to Apollo, John was CTO of CloudTalk Inc. where his team developed a multitenant web and mobile messaging communications platform. At GE Healthcare, John was a director of software development and VP, developing instrumentation and informatics solutions that helped produce the human genome and discover gene function. John holds a BSE degree from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Mark Scott has almost two decades of healthcare marketing and communications experience. He has overhauled and launched the global brands of two multibillion-dollar public companies: San Diego-based medical technology maker CareFusion and Massachusetts-based diagnostic device company Alere. While at Masimo he launched the Patient Safety Movement, which helped bring national attention to the issues of patient safety, and garnered keynote speakers such as President Bill Clinton. Mark’s deep experience covers the marketing spectrum from product marketing and launch activations, brand development, product positioning and messaging; to packaging and labeling; public relations; content marketing, website development; and crisis communications. Mark’s thought leadership on health technology and marketing has been published in Dataconomy, Healthcare Risk Management Review, and the Harvard Business Review. Mark has a B.A. and M.A., in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
Sachin brings over 15 years of broad experience spanning both healthcare and technology to Apixio. Most recently, Sachin served as Vice President, Finance of Vantage Oncology, a national leader in community oncology and value-based cancer care. Additionally, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Vantage Cancer Care Network, an innovative model for managing cancer populations. Sachin has prior experience with Citigroup Investment Banking, and began his career in engineering roles with Cisco and IBM. Sachin holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Andy is a technology industry veteran with a track record of senior leadership across product management, engineering and consulting functions. Prior to joining Apixio, Andy was VP of Industry Solutions & InfoArchive at Dell EMC Enterprise Content Division. During his 12-year tenure at Dell EMC Andy established a vertically orientated product organization from the ground up. The 13 products conceived, built & launched by his team solved very specific industry problems and were sold and deployed to hundreds of customers. Andy has a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leicester, UK and received the status of Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional in 2004. He is a member of both the Engineering Council & British Computer Society.
