Apixio Names Two Key Executive PositionsFormer NextGen Healthcare Executive to Spearhead Sales and Former Director from Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System to Lead Product Marketing San Mateo, CA – July 21, 2011 – Apixio Inc, the leading provider of clinical integration and search technology for private health information, has named Steve Roberts as its new Vice President of Sales, and Jenny Field as its Director of Product Marketing. Steve Roberts, who hails from NextGen Healthcare where he served as the Vice President of Sales for the Western Region, will take on the overseeing and expanding of the Apixio sales infrastructure. "During the last six-plus years working with an EHR I've seen the goals of a physician practice change. While initially the goal is to become paperless and realize the benefits of an electronic system and work flow, the focus transitions from the application, to the use and value of the data. Apixio's intelligent search enables the provider to maximize the data within their EHR," says Roberts. As the VP of Sales for the Western Region of NextGen Healthcare, Roberts was able to rapidly expand the sales team and meet the companies aggressive revenue targets for the last fiscal year. Previously he held positions with OAO Healthcare Solutions Inc, where he served as Account Manager, and QuadraMed, where he was the Product Manager. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fresno, and a Master of Health Administration from California State University, Northridge. Jenny Field joins Apixio from Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, where she held the position of Director of Ambulatory Medical Informatics. She will be in charge of product marketing efforts for Apixio. "Working closely with providers of all specialties over the last seven years to implement electronic health records, I have become exceptionally passionate on how important it is to bring tools into a provider's clinical practice to improve their work flow and processes. While at Salinas Valley Memorial, Field directed the successful implementation of a community wide electronic health record and practice management system. Field holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Saint Thomas, and is currently completing her Master of Medical Informatics from Northwestern University.
